Welcome to our Wig Rules Page. Please be advised that there is a $25 late charge for those who arrive 14-19 minutes after their appointment. Your appointment may be canceled if you are 20+ minutes late.
Please drop your wig off 2 - 5 days in advance. There is a $50 charge for same-day wig customization or if you do not bring your wig in advance. If you'd like to bring your wig the same day please text 267-281-4570, to let us know. Not all wigs are eligible for same-day customization.

1. Drop off
Drop your wig off 2-5 days prior to your appointment so we can customize it and/or custom color.
(See step 6 for same-day appointments.)
2. What kind of lace/wigs are accepted?
HD or thin Transparent lace is preferred and gives the most natural-looking results for all skin tones.
Light and Medium Brown lace are NOT for all skin tones.
Disclaimer: Medium Brown lace works best on medium brown skin tones and darker, I do not recommend it for lighter skin complexions. To be safe purchase HD or thin transparent lace because some medium brown lace is thick.
Do not purchase lace that is darker than your complexion, it will not look natural. Text if you have questions regarding what type of wigs to purchase.

4. Appointment day
On the day of your appointment please come with your hair freshly shampooed, detangled, free of oils/grease, and stretched out. Your hair must be free of any previous style. If you need your natural hair shampooed, please let us know, it is included. Some just prefer to do themselves, why I don't know!
If you have a scalp or skin condition you MUST inform the stylist beforehand. You must also send photos of your condition so we can determine if you can be serviced.
For Best Results:
DO NOT arrive with oily/greasy hair. If you'd like oil on your scalp, please inform Ce'Aira at your appointment.
Be Patient. Beauty is a process so do not book if you're pressed for time. Myisha & Ce'Aira Do Not rush!
Refrain from talking on the phone or using electronic devices while being serviced. If head is down or tilted too much we cannot perform our job accurately.
Although you may feel relaxed, Stay awake and try not to lean in the chair during your service.
Keep your head as still as possible.
Let the stylist know in advance if you're particular about wig placement on your hairline.
Examine your installation thoroughly before exiting. If you are displeased with any part of your service you must say something prior to leaving. Do NOT wait until you get to your car.
5. Used Lace Wigs
We are VERY selective when accepting used wigs, not purchased here. You must send a photo of your wig (Before Booking) if it was previously installed so we can determine if it can be re-installed. We work miracles, but please not blindsiding.
Used Lace wigs Must:
Have good knots (No overbleached knots)
Be good quality, with No tears, no holes in lace no balding in wig.
Be cleaned and fully detangled, No dirty lace

7. Short hair/Locs
For those with short hair that cannot be cornrowed, we can add a strap to the back of the wig to secure the wig to your head. The wig cannot be sewn down if your natural hair cannot be braided. Please let us know if you have very short hair.
If you have dreadlocks you must send a photo of your locs BEFORE booking so we can see the current length and size. There is an extra cost to shampoo your locs, we access your fee through text, to avoid surprises. Failure to do so may result in appointment cancelation.
If you would like us to color 🌈 your wig, please let me know via text & send a photo of the color you desire. We will then provide you with a quote. Drop your wig off at least 2-5 days in advance for color.
We will attempt to get the color as close to the picture as possible, but keep in mind that not all hair bleaches the same, and not all hair will dye the same. Results vary. (You may want a high blonde, but the hair typically does not go as light, we recommend you purchasing a 613 Wig, and we can add Low Lights or other colors. This results in less damage.

Custom-made wigs are recommended for those who have:
thick, long dreadlocks
larger head size (23 inches in circumference or larger)
smaller head (21 inches in circumference or smaller).

We take 4 head measurements to create a one-of-a-kind wig that fits you. We can also style, cut, color, and install your custom-made wig.

Closure wigs are typically the best option for a glueless install. Frontal wigs can also be worn glueless, however, some frontal wigs look more natural when glued down. In some cases, we may determine that it is best to wear your frontal wig with adhesive depending on how thin the lace is and the fit of the wig on your head. This will be determined at your appointment.
Installs typically last anywhere from 4-6 weeks (depending on maintainability) and are not meant to be worn for more than 2 months weeks.
We recommend booking a lace wig install service every 3-4 weeks for freshness and good hairline health. For the first 24-48 hours of your wig install, it is important to let the glue fully dry by keeping it free of moisture including sweat. To properly maintain your wig install tie your lace down at night with a silk or satin head wrap.

The Wig Specialist uses adhesive on all glued wig installs. You can also opt add Tape.
The products used for wig installations are skin safe for those with normal skin.
It is not recommended for individuals with sensitive skin or skin disorders, or hair transplants, or any other condition not suitable for adhesive.
By booking your appointment, you understand that Myisha is NOT responsible for any injuries arising from a Wig Install/Removal that may include but are not limited to: Itching, irritation, burning, redness, bumps, allergic reaction, soreness, tenderness, discoloration, hair loss and/or ANY other injury of any kind. It is recommended that you book us for a safe and gentle wig removal. We are NOT responsible for any hair loss or any other injury due to you ripping, tearing, pulling, tugging, or removing your wig off of your edges/hair. We are not responsible for any injury for any reason. I use SUPA HOLD wig glue/products to secure down all wig installations. It is your responsibility to read the ingredients on the back of the wig product label to ensure you are not allergic to any of its contents.
Wig installs are not for everyone, hair glue is not for everyone.
